• The seasons come and go, and the scenery around us changes.
As the days flow by and are gone, simply standing still every now and then can be enough to find new and stimulating encounters.

Take a break and see what insights you might discover.
Take a deep sip of tea.

    #4 Chill Out by Fire

I’m genuinely glad the weather is good.

The surprising cool of the forest air is palpable.

The chirping of the cicadas has changed its rhythm.
It’s time to think about making myself some dinner.

The red flames lit by my own hand lick at the kettle and boil the water.
With the setting sun at my back, I pour freshly brewed roasted green tea over ice and embrace the aroma as it rises in the crepuscular forest.

Teaware ¥4,290 (Ocha SURU? Glass Kyu-su, Itoen); Tea leaves ¥756 (Kasane Hojicha (roasted green tea) from Okano-en)

    Yeah, that’s good.

T-shirt ¥8,580 (JUNGLES); Fleece jacket ¥19,800; Denim pants ¥17,600; Cap ¥6,600 (THE QUIET LIFE); Sneakers ¥11,000 (VANS VAULT); Sunglasses ¥17,600 (CRAP)

The big event of the evening:
something I like to call Sunset Camping Cinema.

    Daifuku (Wagashi Ichiya, Phone: 03-3612-0724)

Perhaps the campfire has burned off some of the moisture in the atmosphere.

The air is crisp and delicious.
    The tea is perfectly tasty.

    To be continued.
